New Years means changes or the illusion of change. Resolutions usually
don't work, but welcoming a time of change is always a good idea. That
can begin with a determination to be a positive element in this world.
Healthy living and relationships are essential. Avoid hopeless
contrarians, haters, bigots and all other kinds of psychos.

Self-care includes being aware of what kinds of chemicals one is
subjected to including household products. We certainly cannot depend on
the for-profit healthcare system to maintain wellness.

Amusing and entertaining ourselves is also healthy. Exploring
entertainment beyond the most popular can provide unlimited fun. There
is so much music and film accessible that is outside of simpleton

Exploring new ideas is always healthy. Simply relying on stooges from
one of the corporate political parties can only be viewed as foolishness
at this point.

New ideas, advocating for change and justice, speaking up and raising
hell remain worthwhile endeavors. The key is finding balance between
nurturing self and those around you with being a positive force for

David Bowie

In January, 2016, we lost one of the most iconic musicians of modern
times. David Bowie had a music career that was mind-blowing. His
concerts were unforgettable. He began in the late 60s, but with limited

His 1970 album, The Man Who Sold The World, was very underrated. It was
arguably his best album and put him on the map. When Nirvana covered the
title song in the 90s, it prompted new interest in this recording.

The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust (1972) was absolutely perfect. This
recording made Bowie a global icon. After the Ziggy tour, Bowie changed
musicians and styles regularly.

Bowie's collaboration with Brian Eno and Robert Fripp on the Heroes
album (1977) is a must-hear! In 1980, the Scary Monsters/ Super-Creeps
album was the perfect way to enter the dark decade of Reagan, Falwell
and Wall Street.

Bowie recorded his final album, Black Star, with the knowledge that he
was terminally ill. It was an incredible way to say goodbye.

Bowie also had a film career. I liked The Man Who Fell To Earth, but I'm
alone among my friends on that one. Labyrinth and The Hunger are highly
recommended. Both are worth getting good copies.

Climate Change

The dangers of climate change are obvious and understood by many, except
the easily duped and political party hacks. The big question is how far
do we need to go to reverse the fast-track to destruction. We certainly
cannot count on corporate politicians who act like brothel workers for
the climate destroyers. I mean no disrespect to actual brothel workers
and apologize for the degrading comparison. We're going to continue to
need information and to take action. We need to be loud.

50 Years of Legal Birth Control

March 22, 2022 will mark 50 years of legal birth control for non-married
people. The Supreme court victory was fought by Bill Baird, who went on
the win two more reproductive freedom cases in the high court.

Baird vs. Eisenstadt was an incredible victory that helped millions gain
access to birth control. It is celebrated every 3/22 on Right To Privacy
Day. This 1972 victory also set the primary legal precedent for the 1973
Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court victory that legalized abortion.

We have always celebrated Right To Privacy Day on The Reverend Is In
show. After the Farewell Show, we continued to acknowledge Baird's
victories on our Blogspot page and social media. Baird's victories have
been written out of history by anti-choice groups and other bullshit
artists. We shall continue to reverse that ugly trend.

In March 2022, the 50th anniversary of Baird's amazing pro-choice
victory will be the most significant celebration ever. You can believe
the Reverend when he says this is going to be very big. Details will be
released during this next year. History will be made.

Thank you Bill Baird.
