Five Years

There is no show tonight. However, the five year anniversary show shall happen next Sunday night, January 22. Your input, memories, song requests, birthday announcements, requests for exorcisms and reverse exorcisms remain welcome. This has been an exceptionally busy time for the Reverend, which is the reason for the increase of cancelled or postponed shows. Sincere thanks for the feedback on the New Years 2006/ Put On A Show For Spies show. That theme will be expanded when we do the Spy On This! show. All good contributions will be added when we do that theme. Creative input is also welcome for the Who Would Jesus Do? themed show.

Some material and songs were omitted from both the Holiday Tree and Balls Special and the New Years show, due to time constraints. There was the review of commie x-mas films (in which the evil bankers and greedy capitalists were actually portrayed in a negative light.. hopefully Rush Limbaugh, Ken Lay, and Dubya Moron Bush were spared such pain). A review of a handful of movies featuring John Wayne was also going to be provided. The MDC song John Wayne Was A Nazi remains one of the Reverend's all-time favorite songs. Additionally, there was a holiday card worth quoting that was received from a delusional relative: "Lord Jesus is the reason for this glorious season. It's HIS birthday today and not yours Santa Clause." Finally, a great link from the 'Black Sheep of the South'

Films seen during the holiday season, some without consent: the new version of Hitch-Hikers' Guide to the Galaxy (both versions are fantastic), the 2005 version of Reefer Madness (highly recommended..we couldn't stop laughing), Sleepless in Seattle (seriously sucked), John Wayne movies (vomit-inducing), Silver City (fantastic), Mr. and Mrs. Smith (better than expected), Potluck (recommended), Walmart- The High Cost of Low Price (recommended). Fantastic Planet was half-seen. It's animation from the 70s. Humans are pets for a large advanced species and eventually decide that they don't want to be pets anymore. So far, this release seems very worthwhile. I haven't seen the new version of The Producers. The original is one of the funniest releases ever, as was History of the World, Part 1 (both produced by Mel Brooks).

Recent news: the Taliban-influenced Republican party and their spineless Democratic 'opposition' are likely to confirm a Supreme Court nominee- a choice who would make bin-Laden proud. The queenpin of the Vatican and sickfuck associates have decided to step up their meddling in the forthcoming Italian elections. Apparently, these assholes think that it's appropriate for an empire of pedophiles from the dark ages to make public policy for everyone. Pat Robertson remains dangerous, delusional and reliable to make comments that are as amusing as they are alarming. He declared himself the receiver of a spoken message from gawd (Pat has a history of hearing voices). The message was that Israeli leader Ariel Sharon suffered a stroke for returning some of the land at Gaza to the Palestinians (not for his history of mass murder). Gawd was even quoted by Robertson, along the lines of: woe to any Israeli leader who carves up my land. Robertson did not mention if gawd was wearing hillbilly overalls and holding a rifle while providing the message.

The best articles on the recent mine tragedy at From Matthew Wheeland: "The bigger story behind the mine disaster- the government agency in charge of mine safety has been weakened by the GOP's business-friendly (and people hostile) politics. Also at Alternet: Give Miners Justice, Not the Shaft, by Charlie Gray.

Happy birthdays: Demonica, Jennifer Hunter ( ), Lady Simone (the bride in the first wedding on The Reverend Is In).

The five year anniversary show will be on the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion. We will acknowledge the Roe anniversary and provide information about how anyone can help a woman in need, no matter what the Taliban-clones in government do to the rights of everyone. Thank you Bill Baird for winning the 1972 Supreme Court case that legalized birth-control for non-married people, and set the primary precedent for Roe ( ). Thank you to everyone who provides emergency contraception and related information. One source is

Thank you to everyone who has been supporting or spreading the word about Steve Kubby. Steve has been a medical marijuana patient who fled fascism and moved north into Canada. He faces a lengthy prison term in the barbaric US prison system. A person with catastrophic medical conditions is practically condemned to a death sentence when subjected to the appalling privatized "health-care" system in US prisons. Info/ support/ link-forwards:

Thank you Philly ACT-UP and all other groups who protested "Justice Sunday." Former recipient of Asshole of the Week, Rev. Herbert Lusk, and other women-hating, homophobic Taliban-wannabees from Family Research Council and Focus On The Family, held this event on January 8, in support of the new Supreme Court nominee and to further their theocratic agendas. These freakazoids also launch such events to prop up their own leadership positions amongst their cultish peers. Since they're too delusional and screwed up to productively function in this world, they need willing sheep to spare them from having to work.

In case you cannot tune in on Jan. 22, happy five years to you. We shall continue as we began. We want to cut through the myths and illusions from the corporate media, provide a real alternative to the corporate entertainment industry, provide survival information (draft, urine testing, abortion, etc.), fuel resistance and inspiration throughout the reign of a criminal regime, significantly contribute to the deprogramming of every kind of negative crap, and have endless laughs, humor, hotness, fun, and great tunes in the process!

Happy Anniversary!
